Creating beautiful gardens that will stand the test of time.

Whether your garden just needs a bit of a tidy and freshen up, or on-going garden care, Gladmina Holistic Gardening is here to bring your garden to life. From courtyards to quarter acres, I take the time to discuss your garden needs and preferences, bringing my years of gardening experience plus horticultural and environmental knowledge to create a space that nurtures the humans, pets, pollinators, wildlife and micro-organisms that live in it.

Thank you for considering Gladmina - I look forward to hearing from you.

Services we provide

Gladmina brings a range of skills and experience, whether it's a bit of weeding and a freshen up that's needed, or a full overhaul of the garden.

One-off garden tidy-up and refresh

Because sometimes things just get away from you and a reset is all that's needed to get you back on track.

Ongoing garden care and maintenance

Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or just from time to time as needed. Some gardens need more time, others need less.

Provide a Seasonal plant care and maintenance schedule

If you want to do the garden work yourself but you're not sure what needs doing or when, this service is just the very thing. Your garden will be mapped, with a full plant list, plus details on soil pH and health. You'll receive a list of recommendations for soil improvement to best support your plants and a 12-month plant care and maintenance schedule specific to your garden.

Design and Installation of Watering Systems

While hand-watering is a great way to engage with our gardens, it can be very time consuming. A watering system gives you the freedom to get on with other things or head off on a holiday without worrying that you'll come home to a garden of wilting and dead plants.

Garden Design

Gardens are a great space for personal expression and my goal is to make your garden an expression of who you are and how you engage with your outdoor spaces.

Food Garden Establishment

Growing your own food is incredibly satisfying, whether it's fruit trees, a herb and vegetable patch or all of it together in one cornucopian garden. Meg has a strong background in organic food gardening, with permaculture influences to help you get going with growing some crops of your own.

Gardening for Wildlife

With a degree in Environmental Science and a working background in native revegetation using locally indigenous plants, Meg brings a wealth of experience to help you create your own wild garden to attract and support native wildlife

I really need to take more photos of my work! Please bear with.

About Gladmina

About Gladmina

Gladmina is a gardening service especially for women, run by a woman, (Meg), who understands that gardening is about more than showing up with a trailer full of noisy machinery, cutting everything back with a hedge-trimmer and following up with a leaf-blower and a hefty bill.

Gladmina is named after my two grandmothers, Gladys Blair and Mina Broadstock. Amongst the many lessons they taught me was a reverence for plants.

When I'm working in the garden, surrounded by plants and their insect and avian companions, I feel that reverence. My attention is on the individual needs of each plant, whilst also taking note of the overall story of the garden and how it impacts the humans and other animals that use it. I like to think of it as 'fine gardening'.
